Itinerary Plan
Day 01:
Arrive in Muscat in the morning. Meet your guide and proceed on a visit to Grand Mosque. (Ladies have to cover their head with a scarf, full sleeve covering their full arms). then drive through to Bait Al Zubair Museum. Proceed to the Al Alam Palace, Jalali, Mirani fort (photo stops). Then visit Muttrah Souq, which is 800 years Old Souq in Oman. After that drive to Hotel and check-in.Lunch in a local restaurant. In the evening proceed to the pier to do a sunset cruise along the magnificent coastline of Muscat for two hours. After that return to the Hotel.
Day 02:
Tour along the coastline from Muscat to Quriyat. Quriyat, a very large fishing village between the lagoon and the sea. The port of Quriyat is still guarded by a watchtower. The ruins (Photo stop from the main highway) at Qalhat Bibi Mariam’s historical sources mentioned that she was the governor of Qalhat during the reign of King Hormuz (Kotob Eddine Yamtuhin) Visit the Wadi Shaab, natural pool and Continue to Sur. Sur is a port city in Oman that still produces traditional wooden vessels and played a pivotal role in Oman’s maritime past. A Short visit to Sur, before proceeding to your hotel stay Overnight in Hotel in Sur.
Day 03:
Breakfast at the hotel, After we will drive to the desert but before the desert, we will stop at Wadi Bani Khalid, which stands like an oasis in the desert with clear green natural spring water pools. After spending some time here proceed to the Wahiba Sands. then we will enjoy the sunset in the Ocean of the desert and we will stay in one of the best camps in the desert.
Day 04:
Breakfast at the camp. After spending some time in the desert continue to drive out of the desert Then proceed to one of the most popular cities and the cultural capital of Oman (Nizwa). Then Visit the Nizwa fort and Nizwa souq which is renowned for its intricately hand-carved “Khanjar” and ornately designed silver Jewellery. On Friday a unique goat and cattle auction are held. After that visit Jabrin, Bahla Fort. Also, visit the ruins of Tanuf and see the falaj system which is still in operation. Overnight Hotel in Nizwa.
Day 05:
Oman’s highest mountain, Jebel Shams (Mountain of the Sun, highest peak in Oman 3009m), is best known not for its peak but the view into the spectacularly deep Wadi Ghul lying alongside it. The straight-sided Wadi Ghul is known locally as the Grand Canyon of Arabia, as it fissures abruptly between the flat canyon rims, exposing vertical cliffs of 1000m and more. Overnight Hotel in Nizwa.
Day 06:
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day free for optional excursions. Check out at 12.00. Transfer to the airport in time for departure flight. (Lunch & dinner own arrangement)
